Phonics Munch Letterstone Park is a pre-reading program which breaks down the very first stage of the reading process into “bite size pieces”, allowing players to master phonics one step at a time and build confidence as they progress. Your child will find it amusing and entertaining to feed Chomper while learning!
The fun exercises within this app help players to 1) identify consonants and vowel sounds 2) match letter sounds to the correct letter, 3) recognize rhyming words, and 4) understand that changing one letter can create a new word. Instructors can use the games in this app, the digital and printable flashcards, the music videos, and the accompanying worksheets to reinforce the same concepts. A fun way to learn phonics. Kids wont even know they are learning. Feed the bear!
Weve been looking for a good way to teach our kids the alphabet, and the videos in this app do a really good job of that. Theres actually a lot of content here so looks like well have something for the kids to practice with for some time.
I downloaded the lite version and my son liked it. He was asking for more levels when he finished the lite version. I definitely recommend this app to those with kids out there.
As a future teacher, I think this app is appropriate for small group or individual work. The app has been created to meet common core standards, which is great for a classroom setting. The disadvantage to using this app in a classroom is that there are not different levels of difficulty and there is not an option to create multiple accounts to monitor student work. Overall, the app is helpful and entertaining for young children in kindergarten or first grade.
My daughter loves this game! She just turned 3 and uses phonics munch to learn her letter sounds. Love the story and character, super cute!
